Instead, all too often, we’re seeing the sausage factory investment companies of the world push out the same investment for each and every client, without taking into consideration the real, tangible factors that impact long term financial success.

It’s the same idea as investing without taking into consideration YOUR unique goals, budget and circumstances.

From here we can ensure that we have the full picture when it comes to understanding your hopes and dreams – not just as an investor, but as a person too!

Step 2: Set tangible, realistic goals

 

Once we’ve established your situation and circumstances, we can go ahead and really target your goals. 

 

As well as having those big picture goals, including things like the size of your portfolio 10 years down the track, we find that breaking down the property investment process into digestible, smaller goals is what makes things feel SO much less daunting, and all the more achievable. This includes smaller goals like a timeline for ticking off your lending pre approval, or hitting a savings baseline. At the end of the day, all of these goals have to be realistic and aligned to you and your situation.

As much as we always intend for your property journey to be smooth sailing – like with any investment, there is always an element of risk. Whether it’s external factors like changes to mortgage interest rates or property prices, or internal factors like loss of work or serious family matters, we’re here to help you understand the risk and mitigate them to ensure your property investment journey is exactly how you dream. 

 

A key risk mitigation strategy for us is to always have a cash buffer – no matter how stable your income or circumstances. We typically recommend $20-$30K as a buffer for any property purchase  – however, everyone’s circumstances are slightly different, so this is something we will nail down throughout our time together. 

 

Alongside the buffer, we are also lucky enough to have a well established network of legal and finance professionals that will work alongside you to identify and mitigate any unforeseen risks in your property investment journey.
